    1886 saw the completion of the Village of Genoa Opera Hall. This hall has been a popular location in the town ever since. It has become a gathering place, a meeting location, the site of bazaars, plays, and even high school commencement exercises. The hall has a special place in the heart of those who live in the village. The Genoa Opera Hall is even listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is the oldest free-standing municipal building in Ottowa County.
