    There are local parks like Whitehouse Village Park, nearby places to fish, and more.  You might want to spend some time at the Blue Creek Conservation Area, as well. This is located toward the eastern edge of the village. It was once the site of the Nona France Stone Quarry. Today, it has 80 acres of land where people can hike, fish, and use nonmotorized boats. In the winter, there is a hill that is popular with the local kids for sledding.

There is a range of elementary schools in the area including Oasis Charter Elementary, Gulf Elementary, Diplomat Elementary, and Christa McAuliffe Charter Elementary School. For middle school, there is Fallen Timbers Middle for grades 5 and 6, and Anthony Wayne Junior High School for grades 7 and 8. Anthony Wayne High School offers grades 9 through 12.


    Those who are considering higher education will be within driving distance of locations like Toledo University, Lourdes University, and Bowling Green State University.
